Dan Ferris’ Extreme Value (Is It The Real Deal?)

Hello and welcome to my review of Dan Ferris' Extreme Value service.

I discovered this service on the Stansberry Research website, which says it's all about “classic value-investing” and helping you make the “biggest, safest returns” possible.

Is it the real deal?

The Extreme Value service is legitimate, and it's run by investing guru Dan Ferris who's known for finding safe, cheap, and profitable stocks, and sharing these with his followers.

Would I recommend it?

Well, the truth is, after reviewing 100's of stock picking services over the years, there's really only ONE service I recommend. It showed me how to 4X the S&P 500, invest better, and grow my wealth – without having a degree in finance. And you can see exactly how it works here.

That said, Extreme Value is worth checking out if you're interested in value-investing, which is the kind of investing pioneered by guys like Warren Buffet. So let's take a closer look at what this service is all about and how it works, to help you decide if it's right for you.

What Is Dan Ferris' Extreme Value About?

Extreme Value is an investment advisory service headed up by Dan Ferris of Stansberry Research. The service costs $1,500 per year to join and provides subscribers with monthly reports aimed at helping you create wealth through the classic value-investing approach.

Value-investing is all about creating long term wealth.

Good value investors take the time to properly research companies, rather than buying solely on superficial information such as the stock's price or the current market trends.

In doing so, the aim is to find undervalued companies who's stock price is much lower than it could be, when you consider the companies overall performance.

Of course, not everyone has the expert knowledge to properly evaluate companies.

And not everyone has the time to go through enormous amounts of data such as earnings reports, balance sheets and SEC filings, in order to properly evaluate a good opportunity.

Which is where Dan Ferris's Extreme Value service comes into play.

According to Stansberry Research, Dan is an investing expert with one of the best track records in the business. And he's someone who does his homework.

Which he shares with subscribers of his service each month, with the aim of helping you invest in what Stansberry Research says are the safest and most profitable companies out of the bunch.

So, to sum it up, Extreme Value is an advisory service aimed at helping subscribers invest in undervalued companies, based on Dan Ferris' research and experience.

How Does Extreme Value Work?

The Extreme Value service costs $1,500 per year and to get started, you simply need to visit the Stansberry Research website.

Doing so gives you access to everything you need to learn from Dan Ferris and follow his investing strategy. Including monthly publications, stock picks and training to help you get started.

Subscribers also get access to a special report entitled “The Hands-Down, No. 1 Pick of my Career” which according to the Stansberry Research website, details a company that Dan has been talking about for months.

The main benefit of joining, however, is being able to learn from Dan Ferris and see which stocks he's interested in over the 12 month membership period.

Top Pick: The only service that's (provably) outperformed the S&P 500 for over 19 years

These include both long (buy) and short (sell) stock ideas that typically last anywhere from 2-4 years at a time. Selling a stock simply means betting it's price will go down.

And the strategy seems to be working out well so far.

The website says Dan has recommended 21 different opportunities over the past few years that have resulted in gains of up to 564%. That is impressive, but the main thing that stands out to me with this service is that it's based on a more disciplined strategy than most services.

I say this because value-investing is not about jumping in and out of stocks at a moments notice. It's about taking the time to find the right companies, and patiently seeing your ideas through to achieve longer term, more sustainable gains.

Who's Dan Ferris – Real Investing Guru?

Dan Ferris
Dan Ferris

Dan Ferris is the editor of Extreme Value service, and a respected investing guru who's work has been featured by Barron's, Fox Business News and The Street, among others.

He joined Stansberry Research in 2000 and within a couple years became the chief editor or Extreme Value, so he's been helping subscribers for almost two decades now.

He is best known as a classic value-investor who's accurately timed some of the most well-known market moves in recent history.

For example, according to Stansberry Research, he predicted Bitcoin's collapse in 2017 before it fell by 80% and he predicted the 2008 financial crisis, among other events.

So he doesn't just help subscribers pick winning stocks, he also provides insight into the ups and downs common in the financial markets, which could help you avoid losing money, something which in my opinion is equally (if not more) important as making it.

Bottom Line – Is Extreme Value Worth It?

At the end of the day, how worthwhile this service is really depends on your own unique goals and circumstances.

And value-investing isn't for everyone.

Most people don't have the patience to buy and hold stocks for several years or more.

But if you're someone who likes the idea of investing in quality companies for the long term, and if you have a spare $1,500 and Stansberry's recommended starting capital of $5,000, then it could be worth checking out.

Of course, as with any service, there are no guarantees of success.

But Dan's track record is impressive, and as a subscriber you're getting the chance to learn from him, regardless of whether you follow his stock picks or not.
