Hello and welcome to my review of Dark Edge Project.
I discovered Dark Edge Project after receiving an email from its creator, D.R. Barton, Jr. He says this system can help you profit from “secret trades” occurring in the market, and that you could make total gains of up to 1,359% in 12 months.
Which sounds cool.
But let's face it… that's a fairly bold claim.
So I decided to take a closer look at the system to see if it's legit. Because it's easy for someone to make bold claims, but whether or not they actually deliver is another story.
What did I find? Well, turns out “Dark Edge” is an algorithm developed by D.R. Barton Jr. that scans private exchanges (Dark Pool markets) in America to find hidden trade opportunities.
And, as a member of Dark Edge Project (Barton's $1,950 subscription service), he says you could make 100% gains every nine trading days on average.
I'll admit, that does sound a little ambitious to me. But D.R. Barton Jr. is a real trading guru, and the service he's providing is real. As a member, you get access to weekly trading sessions where he reveals his stock picks that could potentially make you decent returns.
Would I recommend it?
Well, the truth is, after reviewing 100's of stock picking services over the years, there's really only ONE service I recommend. It showed me how to 4X the S&P 500, invest better, and grow my wealth – without having a degree in finance. And you can see exactly how it works here.
That's me though, you might still find this service to be worth joining. So let's take a closer look at what it's about and how it works, to help you decide if it's right for you.
What Is Dark Edge Project?
Dark Edge Project is a trading service created by D.R. Barton, Jr. who works for a company called Money Map Press. And the main benefit of joining is getting access to his trade picks.
Basically, “Dark Edge” is an algorithm developed by D.R. Barton Jr. that scans private exchanges in America to find hidden options trade opportunities. Barton says that, with the help of his algorithm and a “former FBI informant,” he has access to secret trades opportunities.
He says that the Dark Edge algorithm records, aggregates, and prioritizes every private stock purchase that's made each day. And that, as a member of Dark Edge Project (his $1,950 subscription service), you could make 100% gains every nine days (on average).
Which sounds amazing.
I mean, who wouldn't want to make easy 100% gains every nine days?
But the truth is, not everyone who joins Dark Edge Project will make these returns. And the reality is, it’s just as easy to lose money in the stock market as it is to make it.
In fact, if history is anything to go by, most people lose money in the stock market.
Don’t get me wrong, Dark Edge Project looks promising. But I also think it’s important to be realistic, especially since it’s YOUR money on the line here. And not just the initial $1,950 you need to outlay to join, but the money you'd be speculating with to place trades.
How Does Dark Edge Project Work?
The way Dark Edge Project works is pretty straightforward. The idea is to signup for $1,950 through the Banyan Hill website, which gives you access to the following:
- Weekly Trades: As a member, you get access to Barton's Dark Edge options trade recommendations. Which he says can potentially make 100% gains every nine trading days on average.
- Live Trading Sessions: Members receive access to three trading sessions that last 30 minutes, where Barton outlines the trades he's making and why. The idea is to follow what he's doing in the hope of making money.
- Trade Alerts: When it is time to buy or sell a stock, Barton sends you a trade alert via text and email. This lets you know how to act on his recommendations.
- Training: This is a series of videos that walk you through the Dark Edge Project system, how it works and what you need to do to start making money with it.
- Website access: All of the trade recommendations, training and trading sessions are archived in the members only website. Which makes it easy to get access to everything in one place.
Also worth mentioning is that the price is $1,950 for the first year only. It automatically renews at $5,000 every year. But there is a money back guarantee according to the website. Apparently, if you don't make 1,359% total gains in 12 months, you can get your money back.
As a member, you also get some bonuses and invites to events, among other things.
But for the most part, the core of this system revolves around following Barton's options trade recommendations. So you’re really putting your faith in D.R. Barton, Jr. and his trade recommendations, hoping they are going to pay off as well as he says they will.
Who Is D.R. Barton, Jr.?
D.R. Barton, Jr. is the man behind Dark Edge Project, and an experienced trader with over 25 years of investing experience. He's also a respected financial author, coach and lecturer.
Before learning how to invest, he was a chemical engineer at DuPont, and this is where he learned the importance of managing risk.
Which is a good skill to have when it comes to trading, because being successful largely comes down to managing downside risk.
In any case, D.R. Barton, Jr. seems to have carried this skill into his investing career. So, given how risky options trading is, it's good to know that he's all about managing risk.
Aside from making money in the stock market, D.R. Barton, Jr. has authored multiple best-selling books, appeared on Fox Business, Bloomberg Radio and CNBC, among others.
Now he creates trading and investing subscriptions like Dark Edge Project for a financial publishing company called Money Map Press, which is the company actually selling this.
So, is he the real deal?
Yes, D.R. Barton, Jr. is a real trading guru.
He’s been successfully trading for many years and has worked with some of the biggest names in the trading world. Not to mention, many people speak highly of his newsletters. So it seems as though he's been very successful doing what he teaches over the years.
Is Dark Edge Project Legitimate?
Dark Edge Project isn't a scam, it's a real service that aims to help subscribers make money trading stock options. As a subscriber to Dark Edge Project, you receive D.R. Barton, Jr.'s trading tips and insights, as well as his recommended options trades.
So I don't believe it's a scam.
However, options trading is notoriously risky.
On one hand, if you follow D.R. Barton's advice, you could make money. Potentially even a lot of money. However, on the other hand, if you follow his advice and place trades that end up going against you, you could just as easily end up losing money.
And even though Barton is a trading guru, he can't predict the future, so you shouldn't expect to go into this without understanding the risks involved.
Literally millions of people lose money speculating in the stock market each and every year. So my point is, it may be a legitimate service, but trading is risky.
Dark Edge Project is a trading service created by D.R. Barton, Jr. who works for a company called Money Map Press. The core aspect of the system is Barton sharing his weekly stock picks.
On one hand, D.R. Barton, Jr. is a knowledgeable trader who seems to share a lot of value with subscribers. So it’s possible that by following his system could end up making a lot of money.
On the other hand, there’s definitely some risk involved with this. So I wouldn't rush into it expecting to get rich quick, or without understanding that nothing is guaranteed.
In any case, what you decide to do is up to you.
I'm not affiliated with the Dark Edge Project service, so my aim with this review was never to convince you to join, or not join, the service. As always, my aim was to simply share my opinion to help you make a more informed choice either way.
