Nick Giambruno’s Crisis Investing: Is It The Real Deal? [Review]

Hello and welcome to my Crisis Investing review.

I discovered the Crisis Investing service through a presentation on the Casey Research website, featuring Nick Giambruno. He says the investing world could be only days away from a major crisis, and that this service could help you turn a small stake into a huge fortune.

Even during times of crisis when everyone else is losing their cool.

I was skeptical, but also curious, so I decided to take a closer look. And what I found was that Crisis Investing is actually a legitimate service run by one of the best in the business, Nick Giambruno, who provides stellar insights and who has an impressive track record.

So it could be worth checking out, especially if you’re interested in discovering opportunities to buy a dollar’s worth of assets for a dime or less, because that’s Nick’s speciality.

That said, Crisis Investing is a legitimate service, and could be worth joining depending on your goals and circumstances. So let’s take a closer look at what it’s about and how it works.

What Is Nick Giambruno’s Crisis Investing?

Crisis Investing is an investment advisory service headed up by Nick Giambruno of Casey Research. The main focus of Crisis Investing is, as the name suggests, to find lucrative investment opportunities in the market during times of chaos and uncertainty.

When others are panic selling, Nick is actively searching for undervalued stocks that have massive upside potential. He’s also well versed in asset protection, so he shares insights not just on how to profit from undervalued stocks, but how to protect the wealth you already have.

Nick has quite an impressive track record too.

And not just when it comes to US stocks. The Casey Research website describes Nick as “Doug Casey’s globetrotting colleague” because he is constantly searching for opportunities across the globe, not just those in the United States.

Which is probably why he has such an impressive track record. His insights have been described as somewhat contrarian because he’s not afraid to venture into beaten-down assets and regions in search of the best value investment opportunities.

In any case, the core idea behind this service is value investing, which is a time-tested method for investing in high quality stocks with huge upside potential. It takes you well beyond the day to day narratives common among mainstream media, and helps you find genuine winners.

The good thing about this approach is that, when you have a high conviction idea, you’re not spooked by the price. In fact, you actively seek out high quality stocks that are oversold.

Because if you have a high level of conviction in the company you’re investing in, the lower the price you can obtain shares for, the better. And these are exactly the types of opportunities Nick Giambruno searches for and shares with subscribers.

Nick Giambruno is the Chief Analyst behind both The Casey Report and Crisis Investing services that are published by Casey Research.

His main focus is on value investing during times of market uncertainty, but he also shares his insights on things like geopolitics and international banking.

One of the things that sets Nick apart from many other finance gurus I’ve written about over the years, is how well-travelled he is. He’s been to over 60 countries and live in six of them, and spends a lot of time analyzing opportunities that exist all over the world.

And not everyone has the ability to do this.

Which is why I personally believe he takes the concept of value investing to the next level. He goes beyond just US stocks and actively searches for opportunities in otherwise overlooked markets, places most people wouldn’t expect to find anything.

And he has an impressive track record, so he must be doing something right. Over the years, he his insights have helped both large corporations and everyday investors alike, make considerable gains. He also shares his past recommendations with subscribers of the Crisis Investing service, so you can see what he’s shared in the archives.

How Does Crisis Investing Work?

The main benefit of joining Crisis Investing is getting access to the monthly issues of the newsletter that provide a new “crisis trade” recommendation, instructions on how to take advantage of it, and detailed insights about what he’s recommending and why.

He also shares his insights about the global financial arena, to help keep you informed about what’s happening and where the opportunities exist in the market.

Members also get access to the model portfolio which contains all of Nick’s current recommendations, the full archives of past issues, and access to “The Crisis Investing Owner’s Manual” which is a step-by-step guidebook aimed at helping you become a better investor.

The main downside to this service is that it’s not cheap.

It costs $4,000 per year to join, so it’s definitely not for everyone. But this is a high-end service so you get what you pay for. And there’s a 90 guarantee in place. So if you join and decide it’s not for you, Casey Research provides you with a full credit to use on another service.

Is Crisis Investing a Legitimate Service?

Yes, Crisis Investing is a legitimate service.

Not only is it run by one of the most renowned global value investors in the world, but it’s backed by one of the most well-regarded financial publishing companies in the space – Casey Research. So it’s definitely not a scam.

That said, it does cost $4,000 to join, and there are no refunds, but from what I understand you can switch to another service within 90 days if you’re not happy.

Also, just because it’s legitimate, doesn’t mean you’ll make lots of money. Regardless of which service you join, who’s running it, and what they recommend, there are no guarantees.

So I wouldn’t expect to join and make lots of money. Because even though it’s possible to turn a small stake into considerable gains, you could also end up losing money.

That doesn’t make it a scam, but I do think this is worth mentioning because some people join these types of services expecting it to be a sure thing when that’s not the case.

Bottom Line

Crisis Investing is an investment advisory service headed up by Nick Giambruno of Casey Research. The main focus of Crisis Investing is, as the name suggests, to find lucrative investment opportunities in the market during times of chaos and uncertainty.

On one hand, Nick Giambruno is a real investing guru with an impressive track record, so this service could be a great way to find undervalued stocks if you can afford the $4K joining fee.

On the other hand, there are no guarantees with this. So if the thought of losing $10K frightens you, which is about what you’d need to take advantage of a service like this in my opinion, then it might be worth checking out a lower cost alternative.

Either way, what you decide to do is up to you.

I’m not affiliated with Crisis Investing or Casey Research, so my aim with this review was never to convince you to join, or not join, the service. My aim was just to share my opinion, which hopefully helps you make a more informed choice either way.
